  Best little bar in Winnipeg and an institution since 1957! I've been coming to the lounge off and on since 1990. The Silver Heights has a restaurant side and a lounge side. The staff are excellent regardless of which area you are in. The best part about the service on the lounge side is that a server doesn't have a particular table or area to watch. Instead, ALL servers rotate through the bar, checking all the tables for whatever is needed. This is a great way of doing things because servers are constantly making sure you have what you need! The servers are all good people who work hard to make sure you have what you need. The management people are excellent. Jimmy and Maureen were running things when I first went in 1990, but now Tony and JC manage. They are excellent people and good guys. Tony has an amazing memory. I remember coming back after being after for over two years and he remembered what beer I drank! Lots of daily specials, nightly specials (eg half price wings after 10pm) and lots of special events for hockey, football games and TV sports events. Their New Year's Party is incredible with bands in both the lounge and restaurant sides. I'll be going to the Heights for as long as I have a pulse and can go through the door!

  Great place to have dinner or drinks. The Louisiana dry ribs are fantastic! Baked Alaska is excellent. Love this place.
